Not wishing to spoil anything but as vistors to the website must know the climax to the series was the fiery destruction of the island house. Series designer, Bob Smart, had constructed 'the house' out of wood clad in synthetic stone specially flown over on rolls from England. The resulting 'look' was very effective and, since it was just a BBC 'prop',when it came to filming the climactic fire there was no need for trick photography: they literally burnt the house down. |
