Cover for the BBC LP Cover for the BBC single The music for the series was written by George Kotsonis.

The BBC released a single (RESL 62) of the main theme and a soundtrack LP for the series. Copies of both the LP and the single come up from time to time on e-bay for a couple of pounds.

Side two was written especially for the LP.

I have had the LP copied to CD and can make copies if anyone is interested.
I am indebted to website visitor the late Brian Coughlin who told me that the song Basileos sings and whistles is called the "Dithyramb" and is the ancient "Hymn to Wine" which, in Greek mythology, was always sung by Dionysus.
George Kotsonis and his wife greeted by Hellman (Paul Maxwell) in episode 6

Composer George Kotsonis accompanied by his wife Thelma, a French teacher, appear fleetingly amongst the guests at Hellman's party in episode 6.

Sadly, Kotsonis died in June, 2014 after a long battle with cancer.
