THE STAGE
Although The Aphrodite Inheritance
proved popular with the viewers,
and is fondly remembered by many visitors to the website,
it did not enjoy critical acclaim when it was broadcast.
This lukewarm review of the opening episode appeared in The Stage (11th January 1979) and concludes
"There is nothing overtly wrong with The Aphrodite Inheritance.
Terence Williams' direction is competent and acting reaches an
acceptable standard. It simply lacks a heart."
